Oftentimes a brain injury is called the invisible injury. Why?

The brain injury may range from mild to severe. A person who has experienced a brain injury may appear physically fine and yet have sustained a brain injury that impacts that person’s ability to resume his or her normal life. Diagnostic procedures such as CAT scans and MRIs or other imaging tests that are run on the individual may produce normal results. However, purely physical medical testing does not tap into the aspects of the brain dealing with functioning and fails to identify the malfunctioning cognitive, behavioral or emotional parts.
